Meet Current Student, Logan Burleigh
Logan is at IUPUI studying Mechanical Engineering Technology.
Why did you choose to study at IUPUI?
I chose IUPUI because I can get a Purdue University degree in a field I wanted. I also really liked the campus when I visited and all the opportunities to get involved here.
Why Mechanical Engineering Technology?
I chose Mechanical Engineering Technology because I have always loved breaking, studying, and rebuilding things since I was a child. My grandfather was also an engineer, so he really encouraged those engineering tendencies since I was a child. I am more of a hands-on learner so the technology degree sounded perfect for me.

My career aspirations:
I would really like to work somewhere in the manufacturing field, whether that be as a process engineer or maybe a testing engineer. I would really like to do that kind of work within the defense industry.
My college experience has:
My college experience has given me the chance to develop as a person and as a student. I have learned so much about my desired field of work and feel that I will be prepared to tackle any challenge that my future employer will throw at me. I have met so many new people and made some very good lifelong friends at IUPUI. It’s been a great experience over all.
My favorite thing about IUPUI is the many opportunities to get involved that have allowed me to better myself as a student and a person.
