As a veteran, how can I apply to study an engineering or technology program at IUPUI?
As an applicant with prior military service, you will follow the same admission procedures as other applicants, so just click on the Admissions link. The Admissions website will help you determine your best next steps in the application process.
Can I receive college credit for my prior military service?
Click here for general information regarding credit for military service. You will need to check with a School of Engineering and Technology academic advisor to determine the amount of credit that may be applied toward your intended degree program.
Are there other special benefits and resources at IUPUI for veteran students?

I am not sure if I want to study an engineering program or a technology program. What is the difference?
Engineering is more theoretical and focuses on new innovation and design. Higher level math and science courses are required.
Engineering Technology is more hands on focusing on the implementation and extension of existing technologies. Math and science courses are required, but the focus is on application as opposed to theory as in an engineering program.
I've already been admitted to the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, IUPUI, so what do I do next?
First, be sure to read your admission letter carefully. It provides important information regarding your student orientation session and future enrollment. The School of Engineering and Technology New Student Academic Advising Center will be available to assist you with developing your plan of study and choosing your classes. Typically, students meet with the New Student Academic Advising Center staff during orientation.
How do I register for orientation?
Click here to register for orientation. Additionally, you will find information about opening an IUPUI technology account. Creation of the account is necessary for the orientation registration.
